Using Linkus Web Client for Yeastar P-Series Cloud Edition

Linkus web browser softphone Chrome no install remote

Introduction

Linkus Web Client is a browser-based version of the Linkus app. Users access it at a URL — no app installation required. It is ideal for users who work on computers, use managed devices where app installs are restricted, or need a quick way to make calls without setting up a desk phone.

Requirements

  • Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (latest version)
  • A microphone and speakers or headset connected to the PC
  • Microphone permission granted to the browser

Accessing Linkus Web

The Linkus Web URL is based on your PBX address:

https://[your-pbx-domain]/web

For example: https://yourcompany.ys7.com/web

Logging in

  1. Navigate to the Linkus Web URL.
  2. Enter the Extension number and User Password (set in the extension's User Information in the admin portal).
  3. Click Sign In.
  4. The browser asks for microphone permission — click Allow.

First-time setup: granting microphone access

If the browser didn't prompt for microphone permission, or you accidentally denied it:

Chrome:
1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
2. Find Microphone and set it to Allow.
3. Refresh the page.

Edge:
1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
2. Under Permissions, find Microphone and set to Allow.
3. Refresh the page.

Making calls

  1. Click the Dialpad icon in Linkus Web.
  2. Type the number (internal extension or external number).
  3. Click the green call button or press Enter.

Receiving calls

When a call comes in for your extension, Linkus Web displays an incoming call notification. Click Answer to take the call. Ensure the browser tab is open (it can be minimised).

Tips

  • Pin the Linkus Web tab in your browser so it stays open and you don't miss incoming calls.
  • A USB headset gives better call quality than built-in laptop speakers and microphone.
  • For a cleaner experience on shared computers, users can also log in via the Linkus Desktop Client (Windows/Mac download from the Yeastar website) which runs as a separate app.
  • The admin does not need to do anything specific to enable Linkus Web — it is available automatically for all Cloud Edition tenants.

Summary

Linkus Web turns any computer with Chrome or Edge into a business phone. Users log in at your PBX URL /web and can make and receive calls immediately, with no software to install.
