Activating Yeastar P-Series Cloud Edition
Introduction
When X2Comms sets up your Yeastar P-Series Cloud Edition instance, you receive a welcome email containing a PBX Activation URL and a one-time activation code. This guide walks you through activating the system and completing the Installation Wizard.
Important: The activation code can only be used once. Do not share it.
What you need
- The welcome email from Yeastar/X2Comms containing:
- Your PBX Activation URL (e.g.
https://yourcompany.ys7.com) - Your one-time activation code
- A modern web browser (Chrome or Edge recommended)
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1 — Activate the PBX
- Click the PBX Activation URL in your welcome email.
- On the activation page, enter your Activation Code in the field provided.
- Click Confirm.
The system initialises and redirects you to the Installation Wizard.
Step 2 — Complete the Installation Wizard
The Installation Wizard runs automatically after activation. You must complete it before the PBX is fully operational.
The wizard walks you through:
- Admin password — Set a strong password for the
adminaccount. Store it securely. - System time zone — Select your time zone (e.g.
Europe/Londonfor UK). - Email settings — Configure an SMTP account so the system can send voicemail notifications, alerts, and user welcome emails.
- Emergency number — Enter the emergency number for your region (e.g.
999for UK).
Work through each screen and click Next to proceed. Click Finish on the final screen.
Step 3 — Log in to the PBX web portal
- Navigate to your PBX URL (the same URL from the welcome email).
- Log in with username
adminand the password you set in the wizard. - The Dashboard (Status Centre) loads — this is your home screen for managing the system.
Tips
- Bookmark your PBX login URL for quick access.
- The admin account has full system access — keep the credentials secure and do not share them with regular users.
- Regular users log in via the Linkus app, not this admin portal.
